Blokart Sailing

The Blokart is a 3 wheeled kart which uses a sail, similar to those found on small dinghies, to provide traction.  It was first designed in New Zealand by Paul Becket as a recreation product for entire family.

Blokart Sailing is a relatively new sport which is becoming more and more popular, mainly due to its large accessibility.  A Blokart packs away into a bag that will easily fit into the boot of a car and is very easy to set up and use, making it fun to use for recreation, as well as for pushing the limits of what they can do.

The Blokart is controlled using the hands only, meaning that a person’s size and mobility can not stop them enjoying themselves on one.  Blokarts are also very safe, providing the right protection measures are worn.  For more information on the operation, history and purchase of Blokarts please visit www.blokart.com

In the UK the BLSA is the recognised organisation that looks after Blokart Sailors.  They organise 3rd part liability insurance, which is becoming a legal requirement at more and more locations.  Moreover they organise fun events for all the family, as well as friendly racing with a national race series and a prestigious the National & Open Championship event.
