B Race Swansea Bay

Notice of Race

Swansea Bay
19th and 20th October 2024

Location

Swansea Bay SA1 3SN

Joining Instructions

If coming from the East or West leave the M4 at junction 42 following signs to Swansea. Follow the A483 past  Amazon warehouse and continue until it’s end where you cross over The River Tawe, where the road becomes the A4067. Pass Sainsburys to your left following the signs to Mumbles and Gower.

Stay on the A4067 and pass under what can only be described as a banana bridge, Tesco will be on your right slightly after this.

You will come to a major set of traffic lights, turn left into the Civic Centre, it’s a large concrete building.

Take the first main right, in front of the building, then bear right until you arrive at Civic Centre west car park, where we have been allocated space

This is where we will park, rig our karts and probably carry out registration.

Once rigged, we will walk about 200m along the promenade to join the beach via a slipway.

Anyone who may have difficulty with this will receive assistance

Accommodation

Swansea, The Mumbles and The Gower are popular with tourists so there is a plethora of hotels, air Bnb, bed and breakfasts and campsites within a 20minute drive.

From a social aspect I would suggest The Mumbles, a 10 minute drive away.

Please be aware Swansea Bay is a public beach, the council are keen to support Blokarting at this venue.

It will be a great opportunity to showcase the sport

It may well be that members of the public will walk through the race area, which we will highlight as much as possible, if so we will need to stop racing until they clear the area.
